Agulion golf course is one of the most challenging courses in Spain. You should remember to bring a bag of balls if you want to take on this course. Having said that, there are 5 different tee positions so high handicappers will find an easier tee-off position that elimiates the water and ravine hazards! This course is well maintained and has a nice balance of easy and difficult holes.
Aguilon golf course was opened in 2008. It is another stunning golf course located in the Almeria region of Spain. It is one of our most popular golf courses being designed to be challenging and forgiving, offering a unique experience for golfers of all levels.
Design by Global Golf, Aguilon golf course is a challenging 18 hole par 70 which includes 3 Par-5 holes, 5 Par-3 holes and 10 Par-4 holes.. White Tee - 6074 meters, Yellow Tee - 5.581 meters, Blue Tee 4.923 meters, Red Tee 4.331 meters.
The golf course is set high in the Sierra Aguilon hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the Province of Almeria and close to the border of Murcia. It is situated close to the town of Pulpi, the beautiful tourist resort of San Juan de los Terreros and a short drive from the larger tourist resorts of Mojacar Playa, Vera and Garrucha.
It's design embraces great views of the Agulion Mountains and Pulpi Bay making it a beautiful setting for playing golf. The course incorporates challenging holes with more than 100 bunkers, 6 big lakes and number of natural ravines. The positioning of the tees completely change the difficulty of the course. Better players and professional playing from the longer (white) tees will find the course very challenging while higher handicap players playing the shorter tees will find the course more forgiving.
Directions: from the AP-7 take the Pulpí exit in the direction of San Juan de los Terreros on the A-350. Ten kilometres form the exit, past Pilar de Jaravia, turn right at the first roundabout and head for Urb. Mundo Aguilón
