Desert Springs is located in Almeria Spain close to the tourist resorts of Villaricos, Garrucha and Mojacar. Villaricos is a simple fishing village, perched precariously between the Sierra Almagrera and the sea and flanked by the Almanzora River. Garrucha and Mojacar are Spanish resorts that have created a nice balance between the needs to tourists and the preservation of Spanish cultures and traditions

Desert Springs facilities

The Sierra Sports and Fitness Club is located beside the Crocodile Club. It provides a good range of indoor and outdoor sports and fitness facilities.

During the summer period The Sierra Club offers activities for children which allows the parents to escape with the peace of mind that their children are in the safe hands of a professional team

The Crocodile Club is located at 'The Lodge' housed in an enormous African style thatched long house. Designed and built to replicate the Elsa’s Kopje, a luxury Game Lodge in Meru National Park in Kenya.

This is a great place to eat and relax. It offers a Mediterranean menu with dishes from the Pacific Rim and Thailand, along with fresh fish and grills, Pastas and Pizzas and Desert Springs Hamburgers.

Tables are available in the restaurant around an open fire, on the terraces or outside in the semi-secluded terraced garden. The restaurant is open for lunch and/or dinner according to the season.

The Tennis Academy

The Desert Springs Tennis Academy is located within the Sierra Sports and Fitness Club. Tennis coaching is available for adults and children either individually or with your team and club members. Coaching is available all year round

The academy has two new tennis courts, two new paddle courts and a beach volley court. The tennis and paddle courts have top quality 'Cushion Life' surfaces. The Academy is equipped with digital coaching technology

The Golf Course

Desert Springs Indiana golf course is fun and testing to play and will be enjoyed by players of all standards. The bright green fairways are generous to allow the not so expert golfers to enjoy they game whilst absorbing the awesome landscape and views encompassing the course

The warm winters makes Desert Springs an ideal location for pre-season training and general fitness. Along with the other leisure and relaxation facilities, this makes Desert Springs a great location for teams and clubs to add some winter training to their calendar

Airports and Budget airlines

The nearest airport to Desert Springs is Almeria International Airport which is 90 km and an easy 50 minute drive along the Autopista de la Mediterranean motorway (E15)

Murcia Airport is 137 km (1hr 25 minutes) and Alicante Airport is 205 km with a drive time of 1 hr. 50 minutes. The roads leading from the airports are dual carriageways, they are safe and usually empty of traffic.
