Roda golf course - Murcia Spain

Roda's golf course is a relatively new golf course which was opened in June 2006. It was designed by Dave Thomas and is located on the Costa Calida in South East Spain. It is 37 km from Murcia airport and 91 km from Alicante airport. Roda is said to be one of the best courses in Murcia and being close to the Mar Menor lagoon and coast, makes it a popular destination for golfing and family holidays.

The lush fairways are routed around large dry buffer areas with Mediterranean shrubs and hundreds of trees that add definition and character to every hole.

The putting greens are large. They average about 11,000 square meters in size so golfers will need to have practiced their putting skills when they venture onto the putting surfaces which are green and flat.

The signature hole is the 7th which is 174 meters in length and requires the player to shot the ball onto island green surrounded by water. Other holes that are protected by water are the 12, 13, 16 and 18th holes.

Club house and pro shop

The Clubhouse and Pro shop are located between the first tee and the 9th hole. Built on two levels the ground level houses the superb changing rooms, individual showers and sauna room. The Pro Shop is well equipped with a wide range of clothing, golfing accessories and club hire. You can also book time on the driving range and lessons with the Professional Golfer.

The Clubhouse has all the amenities you would expect from a 5* establishment. The second level outdoor terrace has excellent views of the golf course and furnished with luxury sofas and dinning tables and chairs. Jazz nights are held here during the summer months where you can dine in the fully air conditioned “Collados de Roda” restaurant & bar.
