Almeria golf courses are split into two regions
There are eight golf courses in Almeria Spain, soon to be nine. The courses are nicely split between two golfing regions.
Close to the tourist resorts of Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera you will find Marina Golf, Valle del Este Golf Resort, Desert Springs and Aguilon. Close to Almeria City and the International Airport, you will find La Envia, Playa Serena, Alboran and Golf Almerimar
New visitors to Almeria will discover some of the best golf courses in Spain that are far cheaper than the more traditional golfing destinations on the Costa del Sol and Portugal.
Golf courses close to Mojacar
Four of Almeria golf courses, are located close to the tourist resort of Mojacar. These include Marina Golf, which is situated on Mojacar Playa on the road that runs to Garrucha. Valle del Este Golf is near Vera Town and 18 km from Mojacar, Desert Springs is 30 km away and Aguilon Golf is a 60 km drive from Mojacar.
Marina course
Marina golf course is 18 holes, par 71, 5231 mts from the white tees. It has 9 holes with spectacular views of the sea and 9 holes situated on the other side of a hill with views of Mojacar Pueblo.
Valle del Este course
The course is 18 holes, par 71, 5700 mts from the white tee. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious courses in the whole of Spain. Professionals Golfers go FREE in a group of 8 amateur players.
Desert Springs
Desert Springs course is 18 holes, par 72, 6173 mts from the white tees. It was the 1st desert golf course to be built in Europe. One golfer goes free in groups of 6, 7 and 8 players and unlimited golf offer
Aguilon Golf
Aguilon golf course is 18 holes, par 71, 6074 mts from the white tees. This course is one of the most challenging in the whole of Spain. You should remember to bring a bag of balls if you take on this course.
Playa Macenas
Playa Macenas Beach and Golf Resort was promoted in 2006 by Med Macenas, a former subsidiary of Med Group. The half-built resort was put up for sale following the real estate and financial crash of 2007
