There are eight golf courses in Almeria Spain. These courses are nicely split into two golf regions. Close to the tourist resorts of Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera you will find Marina Golf, Valle del Este Golf Resort, Desert Springs and Aguilon. Close to Almeria City and the International Airport you will find La Envia, Playa Serena, Alboran and Golf Almerimar

Valle del Este golf resort is one of the most prestigious courses in the whole of Spain. The course was designed by Jose Canales Galvez and opened in 2002. It is 18 holes, Par 71 and 5700 mts in length from the white tees. It has an excellent driving range and practice areas and offers value-for-money golf breaks including a holiday where PGA Professionals go FREE in a group of 8 amateur golfers.
Desert Springs course was the first desert course to open in Europe. Opened in 2001 and designed by Peter McEvoy in a similar style to the famous Arizona and California courses. The Indiana course is 18 holes, Par 72 with perfect greens and immaculate fairways, set amongst big rocky outcrops and dry creeks. The Golf Academy offers facilities for golfers of all standards from beginners to touring professional.
Marina golf course was designed by Ramon Espinosa and opened in 2000. It is 18 holes Par 71 and 5171 mts in length from the yellow tees. The course has nine holes with spectacular views of the Mediterranean sea and a second nine holes that are situated on the other side of a hill with views of the mountains and Mojacar Peublo. The location is ideal for combining a golf break with a beach holiday.
Aguilon was designed by Marco Martin and Blake Stirling and opened in 2008. It is 18 hole Par 70 and 5581 from the yellow tees. Located 38 km from Mojacar and close to San Juan De Los Terreros tourist resort. The course is incredible, located in a gorgeous mountain setting with views of the Mediterranean Sea. This is a 'not to miss' course, challenging, fun, enjoyable and great value-for-money. A real gem.
Almerimar course was designed by Rob Kirby and Gary Player and opened in 1976. It has 2 courses, an 18 holes Par 72 6148 mts and a 9 hole Par 36 2887 mts which opened in 2005. The Golf Academy has excellent practice facilities, as well as offering golf lessons by the club's professional golfers. Located next to the tourist resort of Almerimar and beach, it is ideal for combining a golf and beach holiday.
La Envia golf course is 17 km from Almeria City. The golf course was designed by Francisco Mendoza and opened in 1993. It is a Par 70 with a length of 5775 mts. It is located in a stunning valley and protected by the Vicar Mountains. The 5* hotel is ideal for non-golfers who will enjoy the hotel's facilities and spa and an ideal location to play other local courses and discover the Tapas Tour of Almeria City
Alboran is located in El Toyo, 14 km from Almeria City. The course was designed by Ramón Espinosa and opened in 2005. It is 18 hole Par 72 with length of 5956 mts from the yellow tees. This excellent championship course hosted the Mediterranean Games. It is split into two halves and features lakes, challenging fairways and 66 bunkers strategically placed throughout the course.
The course is located in the resort of Roquetas de Mar, 26 km from Almeria City. It was designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Alliss and opened in 1979. It is 18 hole Par 72 course with 6300 metres in length from the white tees. It is challenging and interesting and one of the flattest courses in Spain with long and wide fairways and strategically placed lakes and bunkers that protect the small sloping greens
